Tips for Partying Sober
Living a High Vibe Life
Take a moment to set an intention. Why are you going out? What are you hoping to receive? Get clear on the purpose of gathering with friends.
Tap back into your intention throughout the evening ( for example-every time you go to the bathroom).
Have a fun alternative drink like sparkling water with a twist of fruit. Bring a healthy snack. A cacao drink is my favorite because it gives me energy and opens my heart.
Pretend like you are drinking or don't say anything about not drinking until you feel comfortable with it. I used to pretend I was drinking so people wouldn't pressure me until I felt confident to speak about it.
When you feel ready, talk to your friends about why you aren't drinking. Come up with the right wording that works for you. Let them know your goals and what you are excited about accomplishing. Ask for their support.
Notice when you start to feel uncomfortable in social situations. Where do you feel it in your body. Take a deep breath into that space and say to yourself “I am happy you are here”. All feelings in the body are messages from our higher self. What is your higher self trying to convey? Trust the process. Being comfortable is anti-evolutionary!
If you do decide to drink or partake in medicine- set an intention and ask yourself why you are doing it and if it best serves your highest self.
Bring something to offer others like glitter, snacks, costume swag, stickers, etc. It feels good to share with others in this way.
I recommend not staying out all night unless it's a very special occasion. There's been times when I stay up all night sober and still feel like shit the next day. Sleep is one of the top ways to stay healthy and feeling good. However there are times in life where I do stay up all night on special circumstances and don't get down on myself for making that conscious choice.
It's amazing to remember the whole event rather than being so wasted you forget all the meaningful moments.
Go out for the pure joy of being with friends, listening to music, and dancing!
It's a process, learn as you go! Celebrate the mini accomplishments!
