Rock Climbing & Mindfulness
An Experiential Journey of Movement Meditation
Donner Summit
This course was created to awaken your mind, body, and spirit as we explore ourselves and the natural world. We’ll learn and develop rock climbing skills to improve our ability to face and overcome challenges, while building communication skills and trust. Through a variety of mindfulness practices, we’ll learn to be more present and balanced as we gain tools to promote our happiness and well-being. Go home feeling inspired and empowered to integrate daily self-care practices to decrease stress and improve your overall life.
Rock Climbing skills covered: movement techniques for crack, slabs and face climbing, equipment use, knot tying, belay skills and commands.
Mindfulness Practices covered: stillness and movement meditations, breathwork, mindful eating, hiking, nature awareness activities, and solo reflection.

Renee Guay is a transformational lifestyle coach, movement meditation facilitator, and performing artist who inspires and empowers people to reach their full potential physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. Her mission is to help people align with their inner passions and purpose so they can create a lifestyle that is full of radiant energy, profound happiness, and vibrant health.
Harris Talsky is passionate about supporting people through challenges as a means of self-growth and discovery. He is an AMGA Certified Single Pitch Instructor with over 7 years of experience guiding rock climbing, leading adventures in nature, and mentoring youth.
Climbing Difficulty: 5.4 - 5.9
Prerequisites: No previous climbing or meditation skills necessary
Location: All outside on Donner Summit. Meet at School Rock
